The NAEBA and CEBAA Story
The National Association
of Exclusive Buyers Agents (NAEBA) and the Colorado Exclusive
Buyers Agents Association (CEBAA) are for
profit corporations
that set standards, provide education, and attract leads for
their members. They charge the members a 15%
referral fee which
supports the organization.
Nothing wrong here. But they compete with the member for
prospects. Most Exclusive Buyer Brokers have significant overhead
to maintain their own websites and place well with the search
engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo and the like). Their websites attract
potential home buyers, but so do the NAEBA and CEBAA websites.
NAEBA charges the member $300 annually for dues, and CEBAA
$100. Together with the referral fees, it’s a lot of
expense for an entrepeneur like me to incur.
I’ve heard from several NAEBA and CEBAA referrals lately
that if they had known all this they would have come to me
through my website. They said they had been looking at my website,
which has a lot of information for home buyers, for months.
But being diligent consumers they wanted to find an agent who
was referred to them through a reputable organization. And
both NAEBA and CEBAA are certainly that.
I’ve been a member of NAEBA and CEBAA for several years.
What I’ve decided to do is to offer a 10% REBATE
TO YOU,
the home buyer, if you select me as your agent without going
through NAEBA or CEBAA, and the transaction is successfully
closed.
For more details, give me a call at 303-587-3509 or email
me at Judith@Buyers-Advantage.net and
I’ll send you the rebate schedule.
