Northglenn, Colorado Real Estate and Relocation Information
On
the northeast side of Denver straddling both Adams and Weld Counties
is Northglenn, a fast-growing community. Northglenn touts itself as
“an affordable small community with a hometown feel” with
a population under 40,000. Close to I-25 and the Denver International
Airport, downtown Denver is just 20 minutes away.
Northglenn began its existence as a Perl-Mack planned community in
the 1950’s, eventually incorporating in 1969 as a full-fledged
city, and has continued to grow keeping pace with Denver’s population
increases. All the amenities of suburban living in a community close
to downtown Denver make Northglenn a good choice for a desirable place
to live.
Northglenn, Colorado Real Estate
- An affordable community, homes in Northglenn range in price
from the mid-$100,000’s in the older part of the city
to the mid-$200,000’s.
- Condos and townhomes sell from $125,000 to $220,000. The
average price is $160,000 for a 2-3 bedroom, 2-3 bath condo
or townhome.
October 2008 Market Statistics
In metro Denver closed sales in October were 4,282 compared with 3,848
in October 2007, a 11.3% gain. The average selling price for the period
was $232,284 compared to an average in October 11 2007 of
$265,236, a percentage drop of 12.4. The median sale price for
single-family homes was $206,000 compared with $234,200 in October
2007, for a drop of 12.0%. 896 condos and townhomes sold in October
2008, compared with 831 for the same period in 2007, a gain of 7.8%.
Median prices for condos in October 2008 were $140,000 compared with
$148,000 in September 2008, a drop of 5.4%. For single family
houses, condos and townhomes the average number of days a house was
on the market in October 2008 was 95, and in October 2007 was 97.
The list to sale ratio was 97% in 2008, no change from 2007. 19,199
houses are currently on the market and interest rates are still low.
It's a great time to buy in the Denver real estate market, but if

Northglenn Parks and Recreation
- The suburb features a 550-acre
park system. One of the most popular parks is the rehabilitated
Webster Lake and E. B. Rains, Jr. park which received a Crown
Community Award from American City and County magazine. Another
popular spot is Croke Reservoir which offers great fishing.

performing arts opportunities for residents throughout the year.
The theater is part of a multi-purpose recreation center which includes
pools, gymnasiums, meeting rooms and more.
